Article 2
The aims of the Association shall be:

1. To assist the Irish Church in its work of understanding and proclaiming the Word of God;

2. To promote the scientific study of the Bible and all related branches of learning;

3. To organize congresses, conferences, study groups etc. and to arrange lectures on biblical subjects;

4. To promote the publication of scientific studies on the Scriptures;

5. To contribute to articles and books on biblical matters which will be of assistance in promoting a general biblical apostolate;

6. To make available up-to-date translations of the Bible in English and Irish.
